PRONG: First Ever Australian Tour Announced
News

PRONG MAKE AUSTRALIAN DEBUT
BAND TOUR AUSTRALIA FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME, FOR NIGHTMARE MUSIC

US metal favourites PRONG will tour Australia for the first time ever this coming November for Nightmare Music. Founded by singer/guitarist Tommy Victor in 1986, the band has never made it to Australian shores at any point in their 28-year career. But all that is about to change…

Tommy Victor: “PRONG has never been to Australia. In all the years of it’s existence. I personally haven't been there with any other band or on a trip. I've only heard great things about the place. So it's wonderful to have the opportunity to get down there. Finally.” The history of PRONG has cast a long shadow - bands like Korn, Slipknot and Nine Inch Nails openly acknowledge their influence.

HIGH ON FIRE: Factory Theatre, Sydney, AUS, 20 July 2014
Concert Reviews

Words by Rahul Menon

Loud and heavy was the theme of the night. What else would you expect when High on Fire are on the bill! The volume was loud, the intensity was high, and it was one venue shaking night.

FOZZY: No Rules
Interviews

Words by Brittany Hodge

His band Fozzy is releasing a new album this month, followed by a North American tour in September with Theory of a Deadman. He also has his third book coming out later this year, and he just made his triumphant return to World Wrestling Entertainment. Despite being busy with so many ventures, Fozzy front-man Chris Jericho took some time out to speak with me about the new album, touring, and his motivation.

NEUROSIS: We All Rage in Gold
Interviews

Words by Rahul Menon

Hailing from Oakland, California, Neurosis are a band that needs no introduction. Formed in 1985, they are a post metal / sludge metal band, with some doom and experimental elements to their music and, to my knowledge, haven't released a bad album. Their latest release was in 2012, their 10th release entitled Honour Found in Decay which was massive. Finally, the band is making their long awaited debut on Australian shores, and I had the opportunity to have a quick chat with Steve Von Till (vocals, guitar) and we spoke about the life in the band, and their tour of Australia.

The band has been a little busy with shows, and have a few exciting things in the future as well.

TANKARD: Hi-Fi, Syd, AUS, 11 July 2014
Concert Reviews

Words by Rahul Menon

German thrash metal beer drinkers Tankard made their first visit to Australian shores this year and it promised to be a gig filled with alcohol and a lot of fun, and that is exactly what we got. The overall vibe at the Hi-Fi in Sydney was great, and quite a few people were eager to get the party started.
